Why national news have direct affect on forex market.

I have been doing business with forex market since two years but still unable to understand some things related to it.
Like why national news have direct affect on forex trading business. Whenever bad news broadcast forex market must move downward.
I cannot understand this trend.
Can someone elaborate it for me?
